Description
AAFC would like to pursue a contract related to the requirements listed below. If you believe you have the capabilities and interest to apply for the following Request for Proposal, please respond to this RFI indicating whether or not you have the capacity to meet the requirements.
The requirements:
• Provide a French and English interface for the users
• Maintain the central chemical inventory catalog with appropriate backups
• The inventory system will allow the unique barcoding of all the hazardous product containers within the AAFC inventory
• Have continual access and plans in place to limit any unexpected outages to less than 7 days
• Provide advance notification of known service interruptions and expected length to AAFC with at much lead time as possible
• Implement proper security measures based on AAFC security recommendations:
o Define and document the security requirements for confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Government of Canada information.
o Work with AAFC to implement minimum baseline standards for password construction rules, such as password expiry, eight character minimum password, passwords must be composed of a mix of upper case, lower case, and a number, password history and reuse, and password lockout after five failed logins.
o Or use a single sign on system if available
• Update and keep current the product catalogue to which AAFC will have access
• Develop with AAFC assistance the hierarchy required to deploy the inventory system within AAFC
• Train and keep in regular contact lead departmental administrators and a backup for the inventory system
• Grant permissions suitable to the departmental administrators to manage the day-to-day functioning of the inventory system
• Address any problems or technical issues promptly once brought to the attention of the software administration team
• handle all inquiries in respect of the product catalogue and facilitate resolution (maintenance of the software, bugs and fixes management), or any other inventory-related software issue;
• input in the product Catalogue applicable regulatory updates as per Federal legislation;
• catalogue verification, including technical data, supplier data, hazard data or other data information;
• day-to-day operations of inventory Catalogue will be managed by the supplying company.
• Have a way to manage SDS on behalf of AAFC
• The supplier would be expected to provide the access the software within 30 days of the contract being signed.
