Description
The Château-Landon swimming pool, designed by architect Lucien-Dieudonné Bessières, was the first indoor, heated public pool in France. Following the fall of a piece of the false ceiling in November 2018, this Category X ERP (indoor sports facilities), which catered for schools and associations (including a water polo club), is now closed. As part of an overall program to modernize its pool facilities, the City of Paris' Youth and Sports Department plans to carry out major restoration work affecting the coherence of its circulation design and the construction of its premises. These works also aim to improve energy performance (lower energy consumption).By way of indication, the logistical and scheduling constraints on this operation are fundamental.
