The Centre de services scolaires de Laval wishes to obtain tenders to retain the services of a contractor for the following construction work: Renovation of the gymnasium at Saint-Julien School located at 525 de la Sorbone, Laval, Quebec H7G 3R9.
The scope of the work includes renovating the gymnasium including new flooring, new ceiling and replacement of lighting fixtures, installation of acoustic panels, replacement of ceiling mechanical units and addition of storage space.
Plans and specifications, contract documents and other information will be available on the Quebec government's SEAO tender site at www.seao.ca.
All tenders must be accompanied by a bid security representing 10% of the total amount of the tender, excluding all applicable taxes, in the form of an irrevocable guarantee or a bid bond issued by a financial institution that is an insurer holding a permit issued in accordance with the Insurance Act (R.S.Q.), c. A-32) authorizing it to practice surety insurance, a trust company holding a permit issued under the Act respecting trust companies and savings companies (R.S.Q., c. S-29.01), a financial services cooperative covered by the Act respecting financial services cooperatives (R.S.Q., c. C-67.3) or a bank within the meaning of the Bank Act (S.C., 1991, c. 46), failing which the tender will be automatically rejected.
This public call for tenders is subject to the following agreements :
- Quebec-Ontario Trade and Cooperation Agreement (QOTCA)
- Agreement on Liberalization of Government Procurement in Quebec and New Brunswick (AQNB)
- Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA)
All submissions must be received at the owner's address before 10:00 a.m. on December 16, 2020, to be opened non-publicly at the same location on the same day and at the same time. Any submission received after that time will be automatically rejected.
A site visit is scheduled for December 3 at 3:30 p.m. at the meeting point located at 525 de la Sorbone Street, Laval (Quebec) H7G 3R9.
Only contractors holding, where applicable, the required licence under the Building Act and being a CCQ member will be considered for the purpose of awarding the contract. Tendering contractors are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, both for their solvency and for the content of their tender. Please note that the tenderer must provide, with the submission of his tender, proof of certification of his company and of all technicians assigned to the contract.
Contract Start and End Dates and Work Schedule: The Contract Start and End Dates are scheduled to commence on April 1, 2021 and end no later than July 15, 2021.
The Owner undertakes not to accept any of the bids received, without any obligation whatsoever to the bidders.
The deadline for filing a complaint with respect to this call for tenders is December 2, 2020.
