OCHO RIOS POST OFFICEThe Works Requirements comprise the following:
Scope of RequirementsThis specification requirement covers all the requirements that will be needed to inform thesupplier/vendor/manufacturer to carry out what is expected from him/her: the contract will beawarded as a turnkey project and the contractor will be responsible for all the work specified.This specification states the minimum requirements relating to the work and in no way absolves the contractor from responsibility for sound engineering practice. Any omissions or sub-standard requirements of this specification must be brought to the attention of Client at tender stage and optional prices for addressing such omissions must be provided.
Working Hours: Normal working hours shall apply. Mondays – Fridays from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Note however, that the Contractor may be required to work at nights and on weekends in some instances, where the nature of work would affect Post Office operations during normal working hours. This should be taken into account and priced in the ratessubmitted.
Scope of Work:The scope consists of modification and upgrading works to the post office to include the completion of offices and bathroom facilities that were previously under construction and the construction of the NIDS offices on the first floor of the existing roof deck.  The work includes reinforced concrete walling, roofing, finishes, ceiling finishes, windows & doors, sanitary fixtures, plumbing, HVAC installation, Electrical and Fire Protection Systems, camera, access control, etc. Other works include the construction of a steel framed fire exit staircase, ramps and other associated infrastructure works. The installation ofspecified furniture is also included.

External worksincludes drainage infrastructure works, paving of driveway and parking area.
