Mongolia - Refurbishment of border crossing facilities

Description

You should be able to build and improve the Altanbulag border crossing point facilities and infrastructure.

For the passenger transportation control area, you will need to renovate and extend the terminal building and build:

- 4 passenger and cargo zone border protection posts
- 3 new inspection canopys
- 15 inspection booths
- 4 weighting bridge foundations
- a pedestrian road and green area

For the cargo transportation control area, you will need to demolish:

- laboratory buildings
- a heating substation
- a power substation
- inspection canopies

You will also need to:

- renovate and extend the cargo terminal building
- build a customs laboratory
- renovate and extend the warehouse and inspection facility for perishable goods
- build a heating substation, a water distribution centre and a power substation
- build 2 inspection canopies
- renovate the external heating, plumbing and power supply
- install solar power panels
- connect a sewage pipeline to a treatment plant
- install a communication and alarm at the border crossing point

The construction period will be 24 months.

The method of bidder selection is:

- international open bidding
- one-stage one envelope bidding

Mongolia has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of this project.

To bid you must have:

- at least 5 years experience in the areas of work listed above
- an average construction turnover of £2,500,000 in the last 3 years
- participated in at least 2 similar contracts within the last 3 years
- the necessary construction licenses
- a joint venture partner or be a sub-contractor who has these licenses
