Description

The government of Jamaica has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Promoting Community Based Climate Resilience in the Fisheries Sector Project. It intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for the procurement of recirculating aquaculture system equipment for the National Fisheries Authority.

Procurement method

Request for bids via international competitive bidding.

To participate in this tender opportunity, suppliers must first be registered on the Government of Jamaica Electronic Procurement System via the platform at www.gojep.gov.jm. To register, please select the “register as a supplier” link from the system home page.

Availability of tender documents and bid submission

This is an online tender where tender documents, clarification and bid submission will only be made available and accepted via the government electronic procurement portal (www.gojep.gov.jm).

No offline (hard copies) of bids will be accepted and there will be no physical tender box for drop-off of tender documents.

Bidding document will be available for download as of 30 October 2023 as at 10am (local time)

Submission deadline

Bids must be submitted online via www.gojep.gov.jm no later than 21 November 2023 at 3pm (local time). Late bids will automatically be rejected by the system.

Bidders are therefore urged to commence bid upload at least 2 hours prior to the submission time. The procuring entity will not be held liable for bids not submitted on time due to late commencement of bid upload.

Bid opening 

An online bid opening will take place on 21 November 2023 at 3:15pm (local time).

An online bid opening report will be sent to all bidders who submit a tender. Bids will be valid for a period of 90 days after the bid closing date. There will be no physical tender box for drop-offs of bids.

The National Fisheries Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and restart the entire tender process.
