Canada - Purchase of fresh fruit and vegetables (PER LOT)

C.00 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
1. The Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSSMB) wishes to retain the services of one (1) SUPPLIER per LOT for the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables for elementary schools eligible for the Underprivileged Area Snack Program. These elementary school, spread over eight (8) LOTS, also include pre-school classes. From the age of 4, youngsters can begin their schooling in pre-school education, also known as kindergarten. Primary education includes schooling for children aged 6 to 12;

2. The aim of this program is to ensure that pupils in designated schools have sufficient food intake to meet their daily nutritional needs, which are essential for their overall development and well-being;

3. The list of eligible schools can be found in APPENDIX A - List of schools to be served_23-174.

4. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, this project for the Purchase of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (per LOT) includes the supply of fresh, quality and ready-to-eat (ripe-to-eat) foods, assembly, packaging, appropriate transportation for these types of foods, delivery (loading and unloading at the locations indicated in APPENDIX A - List of schools to be served_23-174), labor and equipment necessary for the performance of the Contract, transportation, insurance, travel, administration, profit and all other indirect costs inherent in the supply of fresh fruits and vegetables as set forth in this Quotation. Thus, the Prices per PORTION submitted (ITEMS 1 to 3 of each of LOTS 1 to 8) in APPENDIX 2 - PRICE SCHEDULE, include all the foregoing services and charges;

5. The CSSMB awards the Contract by LOT to the compliant BIDDER who has proposed the lowest price for a LOT. The BIDDER may therefore submit a PRICE per PORTION for one or more LOTS. Thus, in order for a LOT to be awarded, the BIDDER must submit a PRICE per PORTION in APPENDIX 2 - PRICE SCHEDULE for each ITEM of the LOT on which he is bidding, failing which his Bid will be considered non-compliant for that LOT.

D.00 DURATION OF CONTRACT
The Contract shall commence on the date of award and shall expire on June 30, 2025 unless terminated prematurely in accordance with the other provisions of the Contract.

E.00 ESTIMATED VOLUME
1. A total estimated volume, for the 2024-2025 school year, is anticipated as follows:
a. 37,872 units of whole fresh fruit;
b. 44,184 portions of prepared and individually wrapped fresh fruit; and
c. 22,092 portions of individually prepared and packaged fresh vegetables with dip

This total volume is divided among the eight (8) LOTS, in accordance with APPENDIX 2 - PRICE LIST.
