Description
The facility accommodates the European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety. The campus features: — a large conference facility with interpretation and back-up facilities, — cellular office accommodation for up to 250 staff, — 3 communication (comms) rooms, — kitchen and dining facilities, — archive storage, — crèche / childcare buildings and a service compound are adjacent to, but separate from, the main complex. The numbers on site are made up of European Commission staff and various service providers (e.g.: facilities management operational personnel, security, crèche service providers and catering staff) could total approximately 190. However, the nature of the work carried out requires staff to work away from the office for periods. As a result of this pattern, during working weeks and around holiday periods, the population on site can vary. It is rare that the site population on any occasion would exceed 140 people. The contract is to provide facilities management services for the Grange site.
