Description

The Health and Human Services Commission, for and on behalf of
its Health and Specialty Care System Division, is soliciting Competitive Sealed
Proposals for selection of a General Contractor to provide general construction
and construction administration services to the Owner for Project No. 23-104-AUL, Storm Drainage Improvements, Austin State
Supported Living Center, Austin, TX, in
accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Solicitation.
This is a re-solicitation of a previously posted RFP.
 
This Solicitation is being issued to select a Contractor for
the Project as provided by Texas Government Code, Section 2155.144(b-2)
and Chapter 2269, Subchapter D.
 
Project Location, Summary, and Budget
 
Project Location: Austin State Supported Living Center
2203 W. 35th Street
Austin, TX
 
Project Summary: The scope of work includes, but is not
limited to, the following:
installation of a new storm drain in four major areas around
the Austin State Supported Living Center campus. The installation of the storm
drain will improve the existing flooding issues around Buildings 503, 508, 510
(Area 2), 728, 779, 732 (Area 1), 786 (Area 4), and 795 (Area 3). The
construction of the new storm drain will involve the relocation or rerouting of
existing utilities (water, sewer, electric, fiber, fire, and steam tunnels) which
may be in conflict.

C, Project Drawings and Attachments H2 and H3 of Exhibit C, Project
Manual.
 
Project Estimate: The approximate cost for construction
of the Project is $600,000.00.
 
Optional Pre-Proposal Webinar and Mandatory Jobsite
Walkthroughs
 
HHSC will conduct one (1) optional pre-proposal webinar
that will be held at the date and time described below. Attendance at the
pre-proposal webinar is optional. Attendance at one (1) site visit is
mandatory.
 
Note: Respondents who attended a site visit for the
original solicitation (HHS0014141) held in January 2024 are not required to
attend a site visit for the re-posted solicitation (HHS0014141A).

registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about
joining the webinar.
 
Mandatory Jobsite
Walkthroughs: All Respondents are
required to attend one Facility Site Visit as specified in Section 2.2
(Schedule of Events). Potential Respondents should be prepared to complete one
of the scheduled tours; additional tours will not be offered.
