Description

The Memmingen municipal library is a public library.
The library has a media stock of around 60,000 items and an average of 240,000 loans per year. As part of the digitization of the city of Memmingen, the library is now planning to install an RFID self-checkout system. The measure includes self-checkout machines, a 24-hour outdoor return system, security gates and equipping the media stock with RFID labels. During opening hours, customers will be able to borrow and return media via the self-checkout machines. A security gate will be installed in the entrance area. RFID booking stations will be set up at the staff workstations to enable staff to book special cases. The automatic return machine with a small sorting system is available outside opening hours.
