For the establishment of a Fraunhofer branch office for immunology, infection and pandemic research (IIP) of the Fraunhofer Institute for Translational Medicine and Pharmacology (ITMP), a new construction measure in Penzberg and a conversion measure in Munich are planned. The scope of the planning and part of this tender is the conversion measure in Munich. For this purpose, two floors in an existing building (Hämatologikum), which is owned by the Free State of Bavaria and in the immediate vicinity of the Großhadern Clinic and the Faculty of Pharmacy, will be converted into laboratory and office space. The planned floor space (NF 1-6) amounts to 1,583.95 m². The space program is based on a feasibility study. It is composed as follows. NF 1 Living and residence: 71.78 m²; NF 2 Office work: 569.34 m²; NF 3 Production, manual and machine work, experiments: 699.90 m²; NF 4 Storage, distribution and sales: 135.43 m²; NF 5 Education, teaching and culture: 95.48 m²; NF 6 Healing and care: 12.02 m². Job opportunities for 50 positions are to be created at the Munich site. The establishment of the new Fraunhofer branch office (IIP) will synergistically expand the competence spectrum of Fraunhofer health research. A feasibility study is available, which will be made available to all participants for information.
