The bridge objects L22 slope bridge Rauchenkatsch (1699 m length), L23 valley crossing Kremsbrücke (974 m length) and L25 slope bridge Pressingberg (1633 m) are located on the A10 Tauern motorway in the section Rennweg - Gmünd from AB-KM 118.0 - AB-KM 122.5 in the municipality of Krems in Carinthia. This is a bridge chain with the same cross-section of a hollow box girder and externally attached prefabricated elements, which results in a total width in the superstructure of 25.0 m (original state or 25.5 m after rehabilitation) and thus the lane guidance of both directional carriageways on one supporting structure. Due to many years of leakage in the bridge drainage system in the box girder, there was heavy chloride ingress in the floor slab area, resulting in damage to the structure, which is now to be rehabilitated. Several rehabilitation options were examined and finally the conventional concrete repair was considered to be the most effective. For the detection and determination of the extent of the damage, comprehensive structural investigations were carried out. In the course of the box girder rehabilitation, concrete repairs are also to be carried out on the underside of the bridge and the external precast elements. The limited space available and the restricted accessibility, which is only possible at a few access points, pose a great challenge to the site logistics. The scope of planning covers the phase of the general design, detailed design and a construction-accompanying consultation.
