Description
The requested service is the realization of a test cryostat for testing superconducting magnets in a superfluid helium bath pressurized at 1.9 K. A Lambda plate is required to separate the liquid helium bath at 4.2 K and the superfluid helium bath at 1.9 K.The services consist in particular of:- the manufacture of the boilerwork elements of the Cryostat of the Quadrupole Accelerator Magnet Test Station (Staarq),- the commitment of the holder as a manufacturer under the PED (European Pressure Equipment Directive),- the preparation of a manufacturing file and CE certification of the cryostat in accordance with EN 13445 and the PED.The cryostat is mainly composed of:- a stainless steel tank with a diameter of 0.75 m and a length of 7.65 m with a curved bottom,- a stainless steel support plate,- 4 titanium rods with a diameter of 36 mm,- a Lambda plate made of epoxy glass,- a heat exchanger (CEA supply),- a stainless steel vacuum chamber around the exchanger,- an exchanger to be built,- an intermediate plate supported by the rods where the magnets to be tested are suspended,- 5 thermal screens. The Contractor must assemble the cryostat in its premises (loading of the plate equipped in the cryostat tank), it must present in its offer the means to be implemented for the realization of this assembly requiring a deck height of more than 10.5 m or any other suitable logistics means. The entire tank/platinum support cryostat must be subjected to a leakproofness test and internal pressurization; after the first leakproofness test at room temperature, when the assembly is assembled, it is requested to cool it with liquid nitrogen. The cryostat must be gradually cooled by filling it with liquid nitrogen. The purpose of this test is to bring the assembly to cryogenic temperature (77 K) but also to test the cold valves of the Lambda plate by increasing the internal pressure. Particular care must be taken by the holder to develop the cryostat pressure setting procedure.
