The Sozialstiftung Bamberg (SSB) is a foundation under public law. The Sozialstiftung Bamberg operates a maximum care hospital (Klinikum Bamberg with the locations Klinikum am Bruderwald and Klinikum am Michelsberg) in the urban area of Bamberg (approx. 80,000 inhabitants) and cared for approx. 45,000 inpatient and 186,000 outpatient cases in 201. In 1982, the SSB clinics were officially awarded the status of Academic Teaching Hospital of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen Nuremberg. Behind this title is the high level of medical competence of the various specialist departments of the SSB clinics with individual clinical training in the Academic Teaching Hospital for students and trainees. The Sozialstiftung Bamberg group of companies employs approximately 4,700 people (as of November 2019), making it one of the largest employers in Bamberg.The Sozialstiftung Bamberg (client, AG) is planning to renew its existing storage infrastructure. A new redundant storage system is to be purchased, which supports both block and file services. The Sozialstiftung Bamberg plans the equipment for the two locations Klinikum am Bruderwald and Klinikum am Michelsberg. The Sozialstiftung Bamberg (client, AG) plans the renewal of the existing storage infrastructure. A new redundant storage system is to be purchased, which supports both block and file services. Redundancy as well as horizontal and vertical scalability are of utmost importance. A holistic concept is to be offered, which will be planned and delivered by a general contractor/system house/vendor. The future contractor (AN) must support the AG during installation and commissioning. For this purpose, a service contingent is requested as part of the procurement process.
