Description

The Scope of Work is the provision of Capital Works to Ervia.The framework agreement will establish the terms governing contracts to be awarded during the term of the framework agreement. The framework agreement will be established for a term of four years with the option to extend for a further 1-year period at the sole discretion of Ervia.Ervia currently has a building estate comprising of over 20 office buildings nationally, ranging in size from 250 m2 to 5 000 m2. This portfolio is expected to grow substantially as part of the transformation programme being undertaken as part of the Water Industry Operating Framework being rolled out by Irish Water. The building portfolio will then grow to include the following types of building:— Materials Depots / Waste Compounds / Stores / Transport Yards,— Water and Wastewater Laboratories,— Training centres,— Welfare Facilities,— Residential Properties,— Ancillary Buildings to Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants and Gas Installations,The scope building works and services shall include but shall not be limited to:— Minor building extensions,— Demolition works,— Refurbishment / Renovations / Upgrades of existing buildings (exterior and interior works),— Office fit out projects including but not limited to Architectural works, Mechanical services, Electrical services and Communication backbone infrastructure establishment,— Control Room fit out projects including but not limited to Architectural works, Mechanical services, Electrical services and Communication backbone infrastructure establishment,— Upgrade / replacement of critical Mechanical and Electrical systems that serve our office buildings and our critical assets such as Data Centres, Control Room and Disaster Recovery Sites,— Building fabric upgrade and replacement (facades and roofs),— Site infrastructure works such as retaining walls, underground utilities, roads, pavements, compounds and security fencing,— Hard and soft Landscaping,— Main Contractor role where Ervia have procured specialist services independently ahead of appointing the Main Contractor. These specialist services may be appointed directly and enter into contract with Ervia or may be selected by Ervia and novated or nominated over to the Main Contractor. The Main Contractor shall be responsible for the coordination, management and supervision of these specialist subcontractors.— The role of Project Supervisor Construction Stage and Contractor, as described in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013, will form part of this scope.— In some cases role of Designer, as described in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013, will form part of this scope. For example where:(a) Specialist permanent works design may be required in the case of electrical, mechanical, structural or architectural and(b) Where temporary works design may be required such as shuttering, traffic management, temporary electrical systems, propping, supporting, specialist scaffolding etc.
