Description
BIDDERS NOTICE
Submissions in a sealed envelope marked "SUBMISSION : CITY OF LA PRAIRIE - Mowing of lawns in municipal green spaces and sports fields" will be received in the office of the undersigned at La Prairie City Hall, 170 Taschereau Boulevard, Suite 400, La Prairie, Quebec, J5R 5H6, until February 23, 2021, before 11:00 a.m., to be opened publicly in the Council Chamber of City Hall on the same day, beginning at 11:05 a.m..
Tender documents will be available as of February 1, 2021, only through the government-approved electronic tendering system (OEBS). If you have any questions about the OEBS, please contact OEB Customer Service via the Internet at www.seao.ca or by phone at 1-866-669-SEAO (1-866-669-7326).
Only submissions prepared on City of La Prairie forms will be considered.
All submissions, to be valid, must be accompanied by :
Bid security in the amount of 10% of the total value, including all taxes, which must be in one of the following two forms:
Certified cheque payable to the City of La Prairie drawn on a banking institution or credit union doing business in Quebec;
Bid bond, valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days consecutive to the bid opening date, issued by an authorized insurance company licensed as an insurer in Canada and to act as surety in the province of Quebec.
A performance bond.
If the bid security is in the form of a certified cheque, the security will be held until the end of the contract as a performance bond. The Bidder may at any time during the course of the contract replace the cheque with a performance bond.
If the bid security is in the form of a bid bond, the Bidder shall provide a letter of intent from a licensed insurance company agreeing to provide a performance bond for the work and a bidder's obligation bond for pledges, materials and services each equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total amount of the bid, valid from the start date of the work or services until the end of the contract. These documents must be certified originals.
The tender documents include the appendices provided for in the Municipality's Contract Management By-law, which can be consulted on the City's website. The relevant appendices must be returned duly completed with the tender.
The City of La Prairie does not undertake to accept the lowest or any of the Bids received and will not assume any obligation or cost of any kind to the Bidder(s).
The City reserves the right to reject any bid from a contractor or supplier who, in the two years prior to the bid opening date, has been assessed by the City for unsatisfactory performance.
