The Air Force intends to issue a solicitation and will be issued on or around 7-19-2017 for the renovation of the simulator area and operations vault space in building 917 to meet the standard of the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, version 1.3 in accordance with applicable codes and references, project specifications, drawings, and basis of design. The current 3,500 sf Simulator Area includes rooms 173 to 179 was built in 1983 and the current 3,600 sf Operations Vault Area includes rooms 103 to 117 and 157, was built in 2003. The main door entry to the Simulator Area is on the west-exterior side and there is currently no pathway between the Simulator Area and Operations Vault. Room 179 is used to house the F-16 Weapons System Trainers and contains a fire riser and power panels on the east exterior wall. Two alarm pads exist; a K99 system is protecting rooms 175-178, and a K91 alarm is protecting room 179. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, and materials to complete this project.
The award is contemplated as a 100% small business set aside. The NAICS code is 238290 with the size standard being $15M. All potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be considered for award. Not being registered in the SAM system will make your firm ineligible for consideration of award. Paper solicitations will not be available and the solicitation once posted can be found on the internet at the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov/).
