Summary Details:The District of Summerland requires a roofing contractor to be responsible for all work related to replacing the metal roof at the Summerland Arena. Work of this Contract comprises the following:Replacement in-kind of the existing metal roof panels, roofing accessories, gutters, and downspouts (including disposal and recycling). Removal and disposal of the existing internal gutter membrane and gutter drains (quantity: 5). Installation of a new internal gutter membrane and drains (quantity: 5). Repair of flat-roof-membrane upturn at sloped roof and replacement of nearest drain in-kind (quantity: 1). Removal or raising of mechanical equipment, as necessary, to complete the Work. There will be no public opening.Mandatory Criteria:1The Quotation must be received prior to the Closing Date & Time2The Quotation must be submitted in accordance with the requirements of Part B, Section 1.9 – Submission of Quotations3The Respondent must have attended the Mandatory Site Meeting (see Part B, Section 1.2Term of Engagement:The Agreement shall be valid until Substantial Performance, which is requested to be no later than November 29, 2024.Conditions for Participation and Requirements to Request to Participate:Quotations not clearly demonstrating that they meet the following mandatory criteria will be excluded from further consideration in the evaluation process. Mandatory Criteria:1The Quotation must be received prior to the Closing Date & Time2The Quotation must be submitted in accordance with the requirements of Part B, Section 1.9 – Submission of Quotations3The Respondent must have attended the Mandatory Site Meeting (see Part B, Section 1.2By submitting a Quotation, the Respondent is representing that it has the competence, qualifications, and relevant experience to carry out the work and will employ the same experienced staff to efficiently and safely perform the Work.Prior to the execution of the Contract, the Top Ranked Respondent shall deliver to the District:a WorkSafeBC “clearance letter” indicating that the Respondent is in WorkSafeBC compliance; a copy of the WorkSafeBC “Notice of Project” indicating the Notice of Project confirmation number; certificates of insurance evidencing the policies specified in CCDC 2 GC/SGC 11 indicating that all such insurance coverage is in place, with the exception that a certificate evidencing project-specific insurance may be provided after the contract is executed; a valid District of Summerland business license or inter-community mobile business licence from another Okanagan-Similkameen jurisdiction; and a signed Prime Contractor Declaration.Respondents to this Opportunity shall have submitted a Pre-Qualification Letter from Surety with their Quotation, which confirms that the Respondent is eligible for bonding. The Pre-Qualification Letter from Surety shall be addressed to the District and issued by a surety licensed to carry on the business of suretyship in the Province of British Columbia and shall be provided in a form acceptable to the District.Upon execution of the Contract, the Contractor shall deliver to the District a Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 50% of the “Contract Price”, covering the performance of the Work, including the Contractor’s obligations during the Maintenance Period, issued by a surety licensed to carry on the business of suretyship in the Province of British Columbia, and in a form acceptable to the District (verifiable digital e-bonds preferred).Additionally, upon completion of the work, the Contractor is to provide either a Warranty Bond (5 years) or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit (5 years).During the Work, the Contractor must follow all WorkSafeBC requirements, and possess the insurance coverage as required by the Contract.
