Scope of works:

Lot 1 - Ocho Rios health centre

The site features a steep elevation south of the lot which will require an additional basement level parking for staff and emergency vehicles. The proposed total building area will be about 2,285 sq. m. Services to be offered including mental health, health promotion and prevention, dentistry, maternal and child health, ultrasound, laboratory and immediate treatment areas.

Lot 2 - Brown's Town health cantre

The new health centre’s total building area will be about 2,285 sq. m. It will host the following services: waiting areas, pharmacy, laboratory, immediate treatment and emergency operating centre (treatment room, procedure room, asthma bay, resuscitation bay, catheter change room), treatment services (doctor’s offices, contact investigator, family nurse, nutrition services and nurses area), mental health, health promotion and prevention, dentistry, maternal and child health, medical records and staff areas.

Lot 3 - May Pen hospital

The proposed construction of a new building, situated in the north-western part of the plot in the place of an existing parking lot. The parking lot will need to be demolished for the construction of the new hospital building.

The new building will have an entrance from the outside for patients/users and will be linked to the existing building to have access to the pharmacy and the laboratory. The new building will include an outpatient facility with 9 consultancy rooms, medical records department, staff area, service area and will cover an estimated area of 1,512.1 sq. m.
