Solicit bids will only be accepted from the prequalified contractors who are on the Roster of RFPQ 2019-21-FW for General Contractors. If you are not currently on the roster and would like to be considered, please register for BC Bid notifications to be notified when the next refresh process takes place. Closing time Bid needs to be submitted by the undersigned, no later than 14:00:00 (2:00:00 pm), May 21, 2024 local time through Bonfire.
 

Site Visit A Mandatory Site Visit will be held at the main entrance of Lena Shaw Elementary at 14250 100a Ave, Surrey, BC V3T 1K8 on April 30, 2024, at 10:30 AM. Contractors are responsible to confirm the existing site and building(s) conditions. Claims for additional costs will not be entertained with respect to existing conditions that could have been reasonably ascertained by a detailed inspection of the site. Bids will not be accepted by Contractors who do not attend the scheduled mandatory site visit.

The sub-contractor for any work related to the metal cap (roof) flashings and any roof membrane tie-ins must be a member in good standing with the Roofing Contractors Association of BC (RCABC).
 

The lowest or any Bid will not necessarily be accepted. School District No. 36 (Surrey) reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
 

Pre-Condition of Award
 

A valid Commercial General Liability in an amount not less than $5,000,000.00 inclusive per occurrence against bodily injury, personal injury and property damage and including liability assumed under this Agreement and this insurance must: include the “BOARD OF EDUCATION OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 36 (SURREY)” as an additional insured; be endorsed to provide the Institution with 30 days advance written notice of cancellation or material change; and include a cross liability clause. A valid Worksafe BC coverage letter.
