Description

The Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin operates a third-generation synchrotron light source. At the beginning of the accelerator chain, the electron beam is coupled into the booster synchrotron by a linear accelerator. Here the electron beam is stored and accelerated and then extracted into the Bessy storage ring. During the acceleration process, beam-physical investigations will be carried out in the booster synchrotron. The components (pulser, control, terminating resistor, spare parts, etc.) shall get individual prices within the offer, which add up to the total sum for the offer part. According to the document "Work package for Solid State Kicker Pulser Systems Project at Bessy II" the tender consists of 2 parts: Work package 1-"Main Offer" and 2-"Optionally "Spare Parts" with 2 subtitles each (A and B). Work packages 1 and 2 must be ordered separately. The successful completion of part 1 is the prerequisite for the call for the option for part 2 by HZB. There is a separate performance description in the form of a specification for each of the two parts.

Main offer: Booster Diagnostic Kicker Pulser:A) Diagnostic elements according to the "Technical Specification for the Bessy Booster Diagnostic Kicker Pulser Electronics":- 2 x diagnostic double kicker pulser units with positive and negative pulse current output,- 2 x charging current supply for each kicker pulser,- 2 x diagnostic kicker pulser control unit,- 1 x 19-inch control cabinet,- Xx internal connections between the units,- 4 x high performance 50 Ω absorber resistors with internal current monitoring.B) Injection/extraction elements according to the "Technical Specification for the Bessy Booster Injection and Extraction Kicker Pulser Electronics":- 1 x Booster Injection Kicker-Pulser Unit,- 2 x Booster Extraction Kicker-Pulser Unit,- 3 x High voltage charging power supply for each Kicker-Pulser Unit 2x 19-inch switch cabinet (one for injection and one for extraction) 3x Generic Electronic Control Units for the 3 Kicker-Pulser Units xx Internal connections between the units 2 - Optional "spare parts": see II.2.11).A) Diagnostic elements according to the "Technical Specification for the Bessy Booster Diagnostic Kicker Pulser Electronics",B) Injection/extraction elements according to the "Technical Specification for the Bessy Booster Injection and Extraction Kicker Pulser Electronics".
