The VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, has a requirement for the testing, maintenance and repair services of the fire alarm system at the facility located at the One Veterans Plaza, 10 Casia St. San Juan, Puerto Rico 00921-3201. All work shall be performed in accordance with the latest edition of NFPA 72 for fire alarms, NFPA 101 Life Safety, and standard protocol for 24/7 monitoring of the Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) at VACHS Facility. The VACHS fire detection system consist of the following different brand name systems: EST1 Edwards System, Siemens Cerberus, Honeywell Notifier, Siemens Fireseeker FS-250 and Honeywell Firelite. The VA anticipates issuing a solicitation for this requirement on or about July 31, 2019. This requirement will be 100% set-aside for Small Business. A site visit will be conducted to all interested party on August 7, 2019 at 9:00 am. Details of the same will be available in the solicitation. All questions shall be submitted IN WRITING via e-mail address to israel.rodriguez-perez@va.gov after the site visit conference. Response to questions will be provided via amendment to solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 561621 and the size standard is $20.5 M. Period of performance for this acquisition will consist of a Base Period and four (4) twelve (12) months Option Periods. Solicitation and amendments will be available in electronic format ONLY. Once the solicitation is posted, interested vendors are responsible to review and monitor this website frequently to ensure that they have most up to date information about this acquisition. Offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments. This acquisition will be solicited, evaluated and awarded following the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 13 and 12, Subparts 13.5 and the evaluation criteria stated in the solicitation package. The Government intends to award a single firm fixed price type contract.
