Description

The Centre de services scolaire des Premières-Seigneuries wishes to retain the services of a construction contractor for the repair of interior finishes at the École de la Fourmilière, located at 5125, 2nd Avenue West, Quebec City, Quebec, G1H 6L2.
Please refer to the Régie document for the date of the non-mandatory site visit.
Work is scheduled to take place from June 21 to August 16, 2024.

Work schedule details
- School vacation period (June 22, 2024 to August 26, 2024)
- Work period (June 22, 2024 to July 19, 2024)
o Daytime and evening work will be permitted;
o The contractor must also ensure the cleanliness of corridors and classrooms
in unaffected areas;
- Construction vacation (July 20, 2024 to August 2, 2024)
o Considering the scope of the work, the contractor may consider requesting a waiver from the CCQ in order to be able to work during construction vacations.
- Work period (August 3, 2024 to August 23, 2024)
o Daytime and evening work will be permitted;
o The contractor must also ensure the cleanliness of corridors and classrooms in unaffected areas;
o Week of August 12, 2024, provisional acceptance and submission of completion documents. (TQC, maintenance manuals, letters of guarantee, etc.);
o From August 19 to August 23, 2024, correction of deficiencies;
o August 23, 2024, final acceptance of the project.
Summary description of work: The main work related to this project is mainly interior finishing and electromechanical repairs.
Main work includes, but is not limited to
- Interior finishes
o Rehabilitation of certain ceilings with new acoustic tiles;
o Refurbishment of existing floor finishes with resilient flooring (premises);
o Refinish existing floor finishes with ceramic tiles (corridors);
o Wall finishing, new paint in classrooms and corridors;
o Replacement of doors;
o Replacement of some built-in furniture and installation of new wooden lockers;
o etc.
- Electrical systems
o Replacement of fluorescent tube lighting with LED fixtures;
o Layout of replaced equipment;
o Installation of dimmers on new fixtures;
o Replacement of electrical wiring;
o etc.
- General contractor
o Coordination of work;
o Relocation and protection of goods and furniture;
o etc.
