The Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e.V. (German War Graves Commission) is a non-profit organization that, among other things, cares for and preserves war graves around the world. The SESMA (Service pour l'Entretien des Sépultures Militaires Allemandes; code APE: 9900Z - Activités des organizations et organismes extraterritoriaux / 3290 - Autre personne morale de droit étranger), based in Metz, is responsible for the maintenance of the approximately 250 cemeteries in France.
We are the owner of a medium-sized fleet of automobiles with just under 100 vehicles registered in France, distributed over the mainland in various depots and field offices. On the day of the tender, the fleet comprises 95 vehicles belonging to the green maintenance sector, including 1 truck, 32 vans, 12 cars, 9 tractors and 41 trailers. In addition, there are 2 minibuses from the education sector, which are assigned to our international youth meeting center in Niederbronn-lès-Bains (Alsace) and are the only vehicles that are also driven by novice drivers (e.g. graduates of a social year). Our fleet consists exclusively of pool vehicles; private use of the fleet vehicles is formally prohibited. The only exception is occasional home-work / work-home trips with the respective express permission of the SESMA. The same applies to the driving of a company vehicle by a person not affiliated with SESMA.
Mainly, we intend to tender for fleet insurance for our vehicle fleet. The start date of the contract is February 1, 2023. In addition, we also offer the possibility to additionally submit a bid for a mission insurance. This insurance replaces the private car insurance of our employees as soon as they use their private car on behalf of the SESMA. Our employees travel a total of less than 20,000 km per year in their private cars. The start of the contract is April 1, 2023.
