Window construction and sun protection work for the general refurbishment of a grammar school.Gross room volume (BRI) BA III:(after refurbishment)BT B (incl. connecting corridor): 9,841.40m³BT E: 7,258.70m³General:Münsterschwarzach Abbey intends to carry out the general refurbishment of the Egbert Grammar School. The renovation comprises the building components A-G. The adjacent gymnasiums are not part of the refurbishment measure. The scope of the contract relates to the 3rd construction phase, which concerns component B and component E.Component B facade/windows:The building shell of component B will be thermally insulated and energetically refurbished in the course of the refurbishment. The new windows and façade elements will be constructed as aluminium elements. Most of the windows will be fitted with external sun protection (Venetian blinds).The structure of the façades corresponds to the existing structure. On the east and south facades, the horizontal window strips will be replaced. In the northern part of the building, a short window band on the east side will be closed on the first floor and replaced by a new window band on the north façade. The sills of the windows in the corridor on the west façade will be demolished. Vertical window bands are created there.Main positions:-1 window band consisting of 14 aluminium tilt and turn windows and 1 aluminium external door, connected via flush panel panels.-3 window bands consisting of 15 aluminium tilt and turn windows, connected via flush panel panels.-1 window band consisting of 5 aluminium tilt and turn windows, connected via flush panel panels.-3 window bands consisting of 7 aluminium tilt and turn windows, connected via flush panel panels. Window bands consisting of 7 aluminium tilt and turn windows, connected by flush panel sections.-4 Aluminium tilt and turn windows with a perforated structure in front-7 Aluminium tilt and turn windows-approx. 65 sqm aluminium mullion and transom glass façade-approx. 56 m downpipe claddingComponent EFacade/windows:The building envelope of component E will not be renovated in terms of energy efficiency in the course of the refurbishment. Only some of the existing windows and façade elements will be replaced and executed as aluminium elements. The glass façade of the connecting corridor between Building D and Building E will be replaced with a new mullion and transom construction.The skylight window strip of the theatre will be replaced with new aluminium windows. The leaded glass of the chapel will remain. The external protective glazing consisting of horizontal and vertical window strips will be demolished and replaced with a new mullion-transom construction.Main item:-approx. 80 sqm aluminium mullion-transom glass façade -2 window strips consisting of 12 aluminium individual windows each, connected via flush panel fields.-approx. 60 sqm aluminium mullion-transom glass façade as protective glazing for existing lead glazing-5 pieces aluminium emergency exit doors.
