Description

Indian Railways plans to develop a roadmap for setting up and achieving national emission standards. This will be through the introduction of emission control technological packages.

The work includes:

- survey of emission standards and emission control technologies
- characterisation of locomotive fleet and assessment of technology status
- evaluation of emission performance
- estimation of baseline emission
- identification and assessment of emission control technologies
- formulation of emission standards and compliance
- finalisation of technological packages for achieving standards

Interested companies should have completed at least 2 similar assignments in the last 10 years. One of these must have been on emissions in diesel trains and the other must have been on emission control technologies in diesel trains.

The pre-proposal conference is on 18 April 2017. The last date for submission of bids is on 4 May 2017.
