HSM, Herner Schulmodernisierungsgesellschaft mbH, has been commissioned by the city of Herne to extend and refurbish the Europaschule, Königstraße 25 in Herne. The project includes the extension of the school building to include a canteen kitchen and a dining room. The school building and the gymnasium from the 1970s will be extensively renovated and converted in terms of technology and energy efficiency. The aim of the project is to create a modern school building that meets both the educational and technical requirements of today. The work will be carried out during ongoing school operations and in individual construction phases. In particular, this means that the work cannot be carried out continuously over the entire construction period, but rather in construction phases. The school will have to move between the individual construction phases and an interim location in the schoolyard.
