Family Peer Support Literature Review – Request for Proposals The Office of Mental Health Engagement and Recovery is a national office forming part of the mental health operations team. An integral part of the work of the office is to continuously develop and showcase a variety of lived experience roles within mental health services. To support this, the Family Peer Support Toolkit working group was established in 2023 to develop a toolkit for services to use when implementing Family Peer Support Workers into HSE mental health services. However, in order to progress the work of this working group, there needs to be an investigation of the literature surrounding family peer support, particularly in terms of implementation and practice in order to inform this toolkit that the Office is co-producing. To support this, proposals are being sought for suitably qualified candidates to conduct an extensive and comprehensive literature review into family peer support in order to identify the best available evidence in terms of practice and implementation into mental health services so that this can inform the work of the Family Peer Support Toolkit working group.  Please see attached tender document for more details.
