Description
The proposed development will be located, under to the Oldstreet – Woodland 400 kV overhead line, the Bord Na Móna Derrygreenagh complex and the grid connection infrastructure in-between.
Documents listed below provide a high-level indication of the position of the proposed grid connection routes and potential substation locations and can be located within the document folder in eTenders.
Drawing No. Figure 3.2a (substation location at Generator site located at No.14)
KMZ files depicting the indicative routes
Drawing No. Derrygreenagh_400kV_Sub_CType Option 1 (indictive 400/220kV location)
The scope of the works shall be broken into three work packages:
Work pack 1:
This scope of the works shall include assessment of existing transmission infrastructure in the vicinity of the indicated looped in substation and develop detailed design for interconnection of the two substations and the connection to the 400kV over head line.
The initial assumption of the design shall consider a short distance of underground cable (<2 km) with starting point at the 400 kV substation which subsequently connects to an overhead line network connecting to the 220 kV substation at Derrygreenagh power station.
Work pack 2:
This scope of the works shall include assessment of the proposed 400/220kV substation adjacent to the existing 400kV transmission infrastructure and develop detailed planning drawings for the substation for an Air Insulated and Gas Insulated substations in parallel. As part of the scope of works and the assessment, the output should include a detailed design report .
Work pack 3:
This scope of the works shall include assessment of the proposed 220kV substation adjacent to the existing Bord Na Móna Derrygreenagh complex and develop detailed planning drawings for an Air Insulated and Gas Insulated substations in parallel. As part of the scope of works and the assessment, the output should include a detailed design report.
