Description

The public agency announces it interest to select a suitable developer or developer consortium through a competitive bidding process in accordance with Ethiopian Laws. The developing company (IPP) will design, build, operate, own and Transfer (BOOT) the hydro power project. The project is located about 750 KM south west of Addis Ababa in the Gambella regional state.

Important notes:

1. Each RFQ bidder must show that it has the technical capacity, project experience and financial capacity. It must show that it has designed, constructed, owned and operated a) one IPP hydro power project which is in commercial operation or b) two or more IPP hydro projects award or under construction stage with the generating capacity above 100 MW.

2. Each RFQ bidder must show that it has strong credit backing and can directly or indirectly successfully arrange financing for the project and arrange the required security on completion and performance.

3. Evidence of the RFQ Bidder’s specific experience, as project sponsor, in raising the equivalent of at least 400 MUSD in total financing for previous projects.
