Canada - EOI-HS-2024-01 - Affordable Home Ownership Project Opportunity

In anticipation of a future RFP, the County and Town are issuing this EOI to non-profit and for-profit private sector organizations interested in creating affordable home ownership housing at 31 Earle Street, Tillsonburg. The County and Town are seeking creative projects that propose new affordable ownership housing for low- and moderate-income households at the identified location. These proposals will assist to define the parameters of a future RFP.  At this time, the County is proposing to contribute up to $1.5 million in capital funding, while the Town is proposing to contribute a reduced value of the land (up to the value of proposed capital funding from the County) to support the development of the project. The total amount of funding will ultimately depend on the number of affordable units proposed.The County and Town will review all submissions to gauge interest and determine the variety of proposals that may be feasible on the identified site. An RFP will be issued when the County and Town have considered the submitted proposals and determined the best and most efficient use of the lands.The County and Town reserve the right to take no further action on this call for Expression of Interest.
