Description
The Government of the Dominican Republic has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance the rehabilitation and expansion project of the Port of Manzanillo and intends to use part of the proceeds to make the corresponding payments under the contract for monitoring environmental parameters before and during construction.
Consulting services include:
• carrying out the monitoring provided for in the plans and programs of the Environmental and Social Management Plan during the works phase of the project, including: marine aquatic biota, marine fauna, underwater noise, coastal morphodynamics, sediment quality, coastal water quality, oceanographic parameters, ballast water and artisanal fishing
• reviewing technical documents (plans, specifications, calculations, reports) provided by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) to verify their adjustment to current conditions and propose, by means of a justified report, the necessary modifications to solve problems detected
