New Zealand - Engineering Supplies and Fabrication

KiwiRail including InterIslander is seeking expressions of interest for the Engineering and Fabrication Open panel.
Prequalified suppliers will be selected that have the capability of meeting organisational requirements in the following categories, but not limited to;
A) Engineering supplies;
o Examples include:
• Mechanical fittings
• Hand tools
• Hardware
• Fasteners
• Digger and machine accesories
• Metals – sheet, profiles, stainless steel, aluminium, alloy
B) Power Tool supply and maintenance;
Note: KiwiRail only seeks ranges of Industrial quality power tools including those capable of working with MHT steel. Asset management features such as tool tracking and remote disabling will be considered favourably.
C) Engineering Fabrication
o Examples include:
• Ship Repair including mechanical fitting, machining, fabricating
• Meeting KiwiRail workshop requirements
D) Calibration services & equipment
E) Welding services
o Examples include:
• Qualified welders noting capabilities e.g;
 Specialised steel (AH series)
 Thermic
 Flashbutt
 Mig
 Arc
 Tig
• Compliance to: New Zealand welding standards
• Compliance to: International Association of Classification Societies (IACS)
• Class compliance to: International Maritime Organization (IMO) / Maritime New Zealand (MNZ)
F) Pneumatic supplies all pipes tools and fittings
G) HVAC – InterIslander only (Wellington and Picton)
