Description

The city of Flensburg intends to expand the Altes Gymnasium, a 4-student high school in the center of the city, by adding classes with differentiation rooms. The extension is to be built as an annex.The main building of the Altes Gymnasium was built in 1912 - 1914 and is a listed building. In the 1960s, a 4-story (KG to 2nd floor) extension was built, which is connected to the historic main building by means of a closed bridge structure. The post-war building contains the specialized classes which have been modernized in the meantime and received a new facade in 2004. The planned new extension building is to be added to this building.Implementation:- Completion of LPH 4 summer 2024- Completion of new extension building summer 2026
In the course of the necessary fire protection renovation in the listed main building and the associated spatial reorganization, as well as the reintroduction as a high school with G9 baccalaureate, an additional need for classrooms has arisen in the old high school.The new extension is planned as an annex and should currently include at least 6 classes and 1 differentiation room per 2 classes. The new extension is to blend in visually and structurally with its listed surroundings and the post-war extension with a new façade. The planned location for the new extension is shown in the attached plan. The gross floor area is approximately 1350 m². The building will have a green flat roof with photovoltaic system (part of the service).The services to be awarded consist of:- Service phases 2-9 technical equipment according to §§ 53 HOAI ALG 1-8 (LPH 4 ALG 410, 430, 470), service phase 2 only partly.The client intends to call off the services individually or as a whole (stage contract).The service phases 1 and 2 (in part) of the planning already carried out in-house serve as a basis for the new planning and the further planning phases.The start of the service is planned directly after the contract has been awarded.Additional information ELT:The Old Grammar School consists of three building parts, the old building, the extension building and a sports hall.Each building part has its own house connection through the public utility company.The school building is fire alarm and voice alarm obligatory according to DIN VDE 0833, DIN 14675.The building control is generally via KNX, the lighting control via DALI / KNX.The security lighting currently consists of single battery luminaires.A future security lighting via a central battery system is to be examined.Currently, a technical risk management (TRM) runs, possibly Due to the new building structure, the possible need for a BOS object radio system (digital radio for "authorities and organizations with security tasks") is to be determined and, if necessary, also planned.Additional information HLS: The new waste water pipes and drinking water pipes in the extension building are to be relocated and adapted to the new use. Defunct sanitary facilities are to be renewed. Both drinking water hygiene and the corresponding regulations are to be observed. In the extension, 2 outside tapping points are to be provided.The heating lines are to be adapted to the new use. For this purpose, a new heating circuit must be created at the distributor and extended by a separate control circuit. The old sectional radiators will be replaced by new plan radiators. For the new building, the ground floor is to be equipped with underfloor heating, and panel radiators are to be installed in the remaining rooms. The interior sanitary rooms must be ventilated in accordance with the applicable regulations. For this purpose, a central ventilation unit with heat recovery is to be installed. The existing teaching kitchen is to be relocated from the 2nd floor to the ground floor and extended to include a kiosk. Due to the distance to the hydrants, the installation of a dry fire extinguishing system with two feed points is to be assumed. The new extension building can only be constructed during ongoing school operation if classes are simultaneously relocated to another property. Due to the limited space available, it is not possible to compensate for this by setting up a temporary container facility during the construction phase. The remaining space must be reserved for the construction site.
