On the former Lassigny barracks in Neuburg an der Donau a branch of the Ingolstadt University of Technology is to be built. The Studentenwerk Erlangen-Nürnberg is carrying out a comprehensive renovation and conversion of two former barracks buildings. The two listed buildings 4 and 5 together have a GFA of approx. 8312 sqm.Building 4 consists of three full floors plus a basement and an attic (GFA: 1700 sqm). The extensive facade design of the exposed brick building with round and segmental arch windows as well as hipped roof and central risalit was built in the years 1894-1898. The floor plan structure of Building 4 is to be largely preserved.The aim is to create living space for future students. Due to the fact that the development of the Neuburg campus is still difficult to foresee, only Building 4 will initially undergo all phases of work. Building 4 is scheduled for completion by August 2025. Building 5 is to be implemented for the time being until the approval planning stage. Approval planning is to be completed by the end of Q1/2023. The execution of the renovation and reconstruction of Building 5 will depend on the demand for student housing spaces. Further service phases will be commissioned in the following stages:Stage 1: HOAI service phase 1-4Stage 2: HOAI service phase 5-7Stage 3: HOAI service phase 8-9With the conclusion of the engineering contract, the engineer will be commissioned with stage 1 for all planning sections. The engineer is expressly not entitled to be commissioned with services of further stages. The Engineer is entitled to request a declaration from the Studentenwerk regarding the further commissioning 24 months after the complete completion of his services commissioned in the respective stage of the planning section. If the Student Union does not commission any further stages for the affected planning section under the present contract within 12 months after receipt of this request, the Engineer may revoke his obligation with respect to the entire project in writing to the Student Union within two weeks. The two listed buildings 4 and 5 together have a gross floor area of approx. 8312 sqm.Building 5 was built between 1910 and 1911 and consists of four full floors plus attic and basement (gross floor area: 6612 sqm). The brick building has a gabled central risalit and corner risalit. The building is completed by a hipped roof construction. The floor plan of building 5 does not offer suitable conditions in terms of spatial distribution, size and lighting. Consequently, the conversion measures in Building 5 are more extensive than in Building 4.The aim is to create living space for the future students. Due to the fact that the development of the Neuburg campus is still difficult to foresee at present, only Building 4 will initially undergo all the work phases.
