The ICSU Health and Social Services Centre of the East Island of Montreal (ICSU-HSU-EMTL) is an institution of the Quebec health and social services network whose mission is to provide a continuum of quality health and social services in all its sites and institutions, to provide compassionate, user-centred care and to create an exceptional patient experience. This mission establishes and promotes leadership and excellence in health and social science education and advances knowledge in these fields through excellence in research and innovation.
ICSUSSS-EMTL is comprised of eight (8) CLSCs, fifteen (15) CHSLDs, two (2) hospitals (Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont and Hôpital Santa Cabrini) and one (1) university institute (Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Montréal). In all, ICSSS-EMTL has some fifty (50) points of service in Montreal.
ICSUSSS-EMTL is located in the eastern part of the Island of Montreal and covers an area of 127 km2. It covers six boroughs of the City of Montréal (Saint-Léonard, Anjou, Rivière-des-Prairies/Pointe-aux-Trembles, Mercier/Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, Villeray/Saint-Michel/Parc-Extension and Rosemont/La Petite Patrie) as well as the related city of Montréal-Est.
CIUSSS-EMTL is multicultural and francophone. With nearly 17,000 employees, ICSSS-EMTL serves a multi-ethnic population of approximately 600,000 people. ICSUSSS-EMTL's activities take place over three (3) shifts (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
Each year, close to 1,600 employees benefit from Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling services for a total of approximately 4,900 hours.
The ICSUSS East of the Island of Montreal wishes to offer its staff and their immediate families an Employee Assistance Program to improve their well-being by helping them prevent and resolve personal, family or professional difficulties.
