Description
Following severe damage caused by El Niño phenomenon in Peru in 2017, the Department for International Trade (DIT) have signed a government-to-government (G2G) agreement with the government of Peru to support the reconstruction of the country’s public-services facilities.
The Authority for Reconstruction with Changes and the UK Delivery Team (UKDT) have launched a new work package in the integrated solutions sector, which focuses on the Early Warning Systems (EWS) for 7 regions in Peru.
The EWS package will provide monitoring, warning and communication of flooding, and ground movement risk to allow communities to respond in time and emergency systems to be put into action.
The contractor will be responsible for:
- implementing and developing all mechanisms
- coordinating with all relevant authorities
This package will use the NEC 3 contract type A, which is for the design, acquisition of equipment, implementation and construction.
In addition you must provide training for the authorities, regional government and population within the 7 regions involved.
It wants equipment like but not limited to::
- weather and or radar equivalent
- automatic hydrometric station
- automatic weather station
- automatic rain gauges
- geophones
- ADPC acoustic profiler
- telecommunications (satellite, GPRS, IoT, HF, VHF, Messaging, Cloud)
