Description
The Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) in Ecuador is inviting bids for the design, construction, equipment supply, and EDGE certification of a new agribusiness research building located at the Gustavo Galindo Campus in Guayaquil. This initiative is part of the Program for Strengthening the Innovation Ecosystem of the Ecuadorian Coast (EC-L1261), financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
Key aspects of the contract include:
• architectural and engineering design of the research facility
• construction of the building, including all necessary civil works
• procurement and installation of equipment to support agribusiness research activities
• EDGE certification, ensuring the building meets international standards for resource efficiency and sustainability
The tender will follow International Public Bidding (IPL) procedures using the two-envelope Request for Bids (RFS) method, as outlined in the IDB’s procurement policies (GN-2349-15). The contract will be awarded under a lump sum, sole responsibility modality, with an execution period of 540 calendar days.
