Description
The evaluation of the subject renewal consists of several research projects that are announced by the Norwegian Directorate of Education and Training. We are now announcing resources for a project that will examine the practical and aesthetic subjects. We would like knowledge of how the subject renewal is being realised through the planning and implementation of teaching in the subjects art and craft, music, food and health, and gym. We would like tenders that cover a minimum of two of these subjects and that examine how the curriculum for the subjects is used by teachers and schools, and which changes this has lead to for both teachers' teaching and assessment practice, pupils' learning in the subjects, and pupils' motivation, mastering, and well-being. Go to: https://permalink.mercell.com/164276807.aspx.
The subject renewal will provide a teaching plan that prepares the students for the future. The subject content will be more relevant and have clearer priorities, and the relationship between the subjects will be better. Subject renewal will strengthen the development of the pupils' competence and understanding. Pupils will work inter-disciplinary with democracy and citizenship, sustainable development, and public health and coping. The current subjects will be kept, but the content will be renewed. Pupils must practice critical thinking and reflection, and the practical and ethical subjects will be strengthened. There will be room for more creativity, and pupils will learn in new ways.New teaching plans for the 1st - 9th years were ready in November 2019 and taken into use in the schools from autumn 2020. For the 10th year and VG2 [2nd year of sixth form college] they will be introduced in August 2021. For VG3 [3rd year of sixth form college] they will be introduced 2022. The subject renewal will contribute to a value lift in schools, cf. General part - values and principles for basic education. This will be a long-term renewal work that builds on Kunnskapsløftet [the Knowledge Promotion Reform] and in this way also ensures continuity for both teachers and students. In this fourth notice from the evaluation of the subject renewal, we are requesting a project that can highlight how the subject renewal can be realised in the practical and aesthetic subjects art and craft, music, food and health, and gym. Tenders must include a minimum of two of these subjects.
