Description
The National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) of Panama, in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, is inviting bids for the studies, design, and construction of improvements to the Pacora water treatment plant, located in the province of Panama. This project is part of the IDAAN Operational Management Improvement Program, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Loan No. 4434-OC/PN.
The scope of work includes:
• technical studies and engineering design for plant upgrades
• construction of improvements to enhance water treatment capacity and efficiency
• execution under a lump sum, single liability contract
The estimated execution period for this project is 780 calendar days.
The procurement will follow International Public Bidding (IPL) procedures under IDB guidelines (GN-2349-15), and is open to bidders from all eligible countries. No margin of preference will be granted to national contractors or associations.
This project aims to improve water quality and service reliability in the metropolitan area of Panama.
