Canada - Demolition of 2 houses - 2510 and 2530 College Street

Bishop's University is calling for tenders for the demolition of two houses and secondary buildings located at 2510 and 2530 College Street in Sherbrooke.
A site visit will be held on Wednesday, June 9 at 1:30 pm. Please arrive outside the building at 2530 College Street in Sherbrooke.
Special measures COVID-19: Given the sanitary measures in effect, we ask that bidders register in advance with David Lacroix by email at dlacroix@ubishops.ca. Only one representative per bidder will be admitted to the visit and the latter must comply with the sanitary measures in effect. In addition to the standard safety equipment required on a construction site, the representative must bring and wear a mask and safety glasses.
The deadline for filing complaints is June 14, 2021.
Due to the health measures still in place, bidders will be required to give preference to electronic submission of bids through the ATS. In the event that a bidder still wishes to submit a paper bid, it may be sent by mail, ensuring sufficient time for the bid to arrive before the scheduled bid submission time and date. If he wishes to submit his bid in person, he must make an appointment with David Lacroix. The appointment must be made at least two working days before the date and time scheduled for the submission of bids. Only one representative per bidder will be allowed on campus and the bidder will be required to comply with all applicable sanitary measures. In these cases, bids must be sent or dropped off at the Land and Building Services Building located on the Bishop's University campus at 2600 College Street, Sherbrooke, (Qc) J1M 1Z7.
Bids must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 and will be opened without public immediately after the time and on the same day. The opening will be webcast live. Instructions for attending this broadcast will be provided in an addendum. Please note that this action is being taken in accordance with the proposed Treasury Board Secretariat guidelines, dated March 25, 2020 (Communiqué No. SSMP-02 "Coronavirus (COVID-19)")
Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount and a letter of intent to provide a performance bond and a surety bond for guarantees, materials and services, each equal to fifty percent (50%) of the contract value.
Only contractors having an establishment in Quebec or in a territory covered by an applicable intergovernmental agreement, where they carry on their activities on a permanent basis, clearly identified in their name and accessible during normal business hours, are eligible to bid. In addition, only bids from contractors holding the license required under the Building Act (R.S.Q. c. B-1.1) will be considered.
Tenderers are responsible for the selection of subcontractors both for their solvency and for the content of their bids.
