Description
State of Bolivia, through the Unidad Coordinadora de Ejecución de Proyectos (UCEP - MI RIEGO), is inviting bids for the construction of a dam and an irrigation system in the locality of Salo, Tupiza. This project is part of the National Technical Irrigation Program with a Basin Approach I, and is partially financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The scope of work includes:
- construction of a dam to support water storage and regulation
- development of an irrigation system designed to improve agricultural productivity and water management in the region
The total execution period is 540 calendar days, indicating a substantial infrastructure effort.
The tender process is governed by Bolivian procurement regulations and IDB guidelines. The project aims to enhance water availability and agricultural resilience in the Tupiza region, contributing to sustainable rural development.
