Description

The government of the Republic of Panama has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance the cost of the support program for the conservation and management of cultural and natural heritage.

It is proposed to use a portion of the funds to make payments under the contract for the pre-feasibility study of the Amador - Chorrillo - Cerro Ancón cable car, in Panama City, framed in the master plan for urban regeneration of El Chorrillo - Cerro Ancón (PN-L1146-P00060).

The objective of the consultancy is to carry out a pre-feasibility study to evaluate the technical, economic, financial, legal, institutional and environmental feasibility for the development of a cable car for preferential tourist and recreational use, connecting Amador, El Chorrillo and Cerro Ancón in Panama City.

The executing agency is the Ministry of Environment.
