Switzerland - Construction services in building construction

Description

With the HPQ laboratory and office building, ETH Zurich is constructing a physics building with future-oriented laboratory and office use on the Hönggerberg campus. The construction activities are taking place during ongoing campus operations and are therefore bound to special conditions related to construction emissions such as vibrations, dust and noise, construction site traffic, working hours and safety. The building comprises in an above ground volume of approx. 60000m3 four laboratory and office floors, a public double storey first floor and an attic floor with building services superstructures. The underground volume of the building of about 110000m3 is divided into 6 basement floors, a main building and a side annex, which houses the most sensitive research facilities (platforms).
