At Bremen Airport, the central arrivals area on the ground floor of Terminal 1 is to be remodeled and expanded to meet current and future legal and operational requirements. Key measures for this are the relocation and expansion of the entry control in connection with the EU-wide introduction of the EES (Entry Exit System) as well as an expansion of the baggage claim area with renewal of the baggage carousels. The services for which tenders have been invited include the laying of screed surfaces on a separating layer and bonded screeds as well as the laying of natural stone slabs in strips in several construction phases, including the tiling of walls and floors in the sanitary rooms. Among other things, the construction work will also be carried out in the area of the § 8 LuftSiG line.
In Terminal 1 at Bremen Airport, the central arrivals area is to be remodeled and expanded to meet current and future legal and operational requirements. This will involve the installation of screed surfaces on a separating layer and bonded screeds as well as the laying of natural stone slabs in strips in several construction phases, including the tiling of the sanitary rooms on walls and floors. The work will be carried out within the framework of three sub-projects separated in time, including their sub-phases. Sub-project 2 comprises screed, natural stone and tiling work in the area of the former Bremen Lounge and Non-Schengen Arrivals. In order to be able to increase the capacities at Bremen Airport in the future, the border control immigration will be expanded and relocated to the Bremen Lounge area. The work in SP2 is divided into sub-phases so that it can respond to the airport's operational processes. Subproject 3 comprises screed and natural stone work in the baggage handling and baggage claim area in order to be able to provide future capacities by renewing and expanding baggage carousels 2-4. Subproject 4 comprises screed, natural stone and tiling work in the area of baggage carousel 1 and the future restroom as well as existing offices. The subject of the present award procedure is primarily the screed, natural stone and tiling work in subprojects 2-4. The construction measures will also be carried out in the area of the § 8 LuftSiG line. The measures will be carried out during ongoing operations and in the security area of Bremen Airport.
