1. PurposeThe City of Leander, herein after “City”, seeks to enter into an agreement with a qualified Individual, Firm or Corporation, herein after “Respondent”, to provide construction services for the delivery of the Fire Station #2 Renovation and Addition.2. BackgroundThe Work consists of an addition to the City of Leander’s existing Fire Station #2 of approximately 3,300 SF. The addition includes a pull-through apparatus bay with sleeping rooms and bathroom facilities on the second floor above. The building addition is constructed of CMU block and wood framing with façade made of cementitious siding and stone to match the existing building. The sitework includes replacing the underground grease trap and sand/oil filter, relocating the gas meter, widening the existing apparatus driveway, increasing the storm detention area, four additional parking stalls, and landscaping additions.
