Lot 1 (contract management) Combined construction services, assembly, liability and planning liability insurance for the "Renewal Elleringhauser Tunnel" construction project for the client DB Netz AG and for all companies commissioned by DB Netz AG with the planning, supervision and execution of this construction project.
The subject of the award is Lot 1 (contract management with a management quota of 30%) of the combined construction services, assembly, liability and planning liability insurance for the "Renewal of the Elleringhauser Tunnel" construction project.DB Netz AG is planning the renewal of the Elleringhauser Tunnel. The tunnel structure is located on the line 2550 Aachen Hbf.-Kassel Hbf. The existing structure (145 years old) is in a very poor condition. In the long term, the tunnel structure can only be maintained at a high financial cost. A sustainable and long-lasting renewal is to exclude an upcoming operational restriction of the availability of the railroad infrastructure. Therefore, the existing structure will be renewed and optimized to the structurally necessary extent. The obsolete structure and fabric will be modernized. The tunnel is currently double-tracked. Due to a track spacing < 3.50 m, trains are prohibited from meeting. After the modernization, the Elleringhauser Tunnel will only be operated as a single-track tunnel.The investment sum for this project with a currently planned construction period until April 24, 2026 is estimated at EUR 137.915 million. Of this amount, approximately EUR 16.550 million has already been invoiced under an existing contract. The new insurance contract tendered here will replace the existing contract. Accordingly, the provisional term of the insurance contract is also planned until 24.04.2026 (plus extended maintenance and supplementary liability - see below).The insurance contract will commence after completion of the tender procedure vsl. from 13.05.2022 (possibly later) following a currently existing advance cover.(Type H-EU) In the liability insurance, the sum insured per claim is EUR 20,000,000 lump sum for bodily injury, property damage and financial loss, including the benefits from the environmental liability insurance.In the planning liability insurance, a separate sum insured per claim of EUR 10,000,000 lump sum for property damage and financial loss is available. The aforementioned sums are triple maximized.The Extendend Maintenance in the Construction Performance and Erection Insurance part is 42 months. The extended liability in the liability insurance is 10 years, in the environmental liability and environmental damage insurance 5 years.The general deductible is at least EUR 10,000. The deductible does not apply to personal injury.The extended planning coverage is included in the planning liability insurance. Note: For technical reasons, a separate transaction with its own reference number must be created for each lot of this contract on the "subreport ELViS" award platform used for this procedure.
