Description

Operational support IT of the STWNO for BAföG-Amt-Bavaria.
The Studentenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz operates the IT infrastructure for all offices of the Bavarian Studentenwerke centrally in Regensburg. The servers are located in the machine room of the computer centre of the University of Regensburg. Internet access is provided by the University of Regensburg. There are VPN connections to the locations Deggendorf, Landshut, Passau, Augsburg, Würzburg, Bamberg, Bayreuth, Erlangen, Nuremberg. The WAN and LAN connections to the locations are provided by the German Research Network (DFN) and by the respective local universities. In some cases, the respective Studentenwerke provide the Internet connections via other service providers. The VPN lines are set up and monitored by the Studentenwerk Niederbayern/Oberpfalz. The server structure consists of a Windows domain. There are servers, terminal servers with thin clients, PCs, notebooks. The structure still works with classic file servers. At the moment all systems are cable bound. The website of the online application is hosted externally and is not subject of this tender. The e-mail system used is Microsoft Exchange, which is installed on site. The Studentenwerk intends to use external IT services for operational support.
