Description

A Chinese pharmaceutical group wants to work with UK companies to expand its product line and import:

- intelligent rehabilitation aids
- rehabilitation products for people with Alzheimer’s
- rehabilitation products for orthopaedics

The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) worked with a regional consortium to generate this opportunity and all responses will be forwarded to the consortium lead to circulate to relevant companies.

The Chinese company:

- is based in Changzhou, Jiangsu province
- was founded in 1996
- develops, manufactures and distributes rehabilitation products
- has a sales and service team which works with over 450 products, covering rehabilitation assessment, training, therapy and treatment
- has 5 offices in China
- has a sales network of 200 contract distributors, covering the whole China market
- has invested heavily in research and development (R&D)
- has developed new products to treat children with autism and cerebral palsy, as well as products for the rehabilitation of those with conditions relating to the heart and lungs, vision, language and limbs

It works with leading universities on R&D, commercialising the research results, and with industry associations such as the:

- National Research Centre for Rehabilitation Technical Aids
- China Rehabilitation Research Centre
- Chinese Medical Doctor Association
- Chinese association of Rehabilitation Medicine
