Food service upgrade_LOT 2.2.1_Cold rooms and ventilation ducts

L'ORGANISME PUBLIC, le Centre Intégré de Santé et de Services Sociaux de la Montérégie-Centre, having its head office at 3141 boulevard Taschereau, bureau 220, Greenfield Park, Québec, J4V 2H2 is requesting bids for the construction work on the above-mentioned project.

PROJECT SUMMARY

The work includes, unless otherwise specified, and without limitation, the transportation/delivery and supply of all materials and equipment required, as well as all labor necessary for the proper execution of the construction work of the new cold rooms and ventilation ducts at the food service, including the demolition of the old cold rooms and construction of a new cold room and a new freezer, as well as the passage of ventilation ducts in the ceiling space. All as specified in the various sections of the administrative specifications, description, plans and specifications, and in compliance with the municipal by-laws, standards and laws in force applicable to this project.

The Contractor must take into consideration that the work to be carried out is located on the 2nd floor, with all drains, conduits and wiring from the ground floor and/or basement of the Centre Gertrude-Lafrance in the heart of the center.

All workers, equipment and materials will have to circulate via the exit staircase from the outside to the kitchen on the 2nd floor. The use of elevators and/or freight elevators is restricted by the contractor and his subcontractors. For a particular request for delivery of a specific material, the contractor could make his request to the PUBLIC ORGANIZATION, 10 days in advance and this one will be treated in order to judge the relevance and the request will be either accepted or refused.

All work performed and work methods used by the Contractor and his Subcontractors in an occupied building used as a long or short-term residential care facility for frail and debilitated patients must ensure compliance with rigorous aseptic standards and the maintenance of the patient's quality of life while performing the work, in compliance with, but not limited to, the establishment's requirements with respect to :

1. Control of circulation of workers, materials and waste,

2. Hours allowed for work,

3. Service interruption requests and approval,

4. Noise control guidelines,

5. Dust control guidelines (temporary containment, filtration, Hepa, etc.).

TIME FRAME: 16 weeks

TENDER GUARANTEE: Tenders must be accompanied by a tender guarantee in the form of:

- a bid bond issued by a financial institution in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price, valid for a period of forty-five (45) days from the bid opening date; or

- an irrevocable letter of guarantee issued by a bank, savings or credit union or trust or savings company and conforming to the provisions of the Project Manager's "Irrevocable Letter of Guarantee" form, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price.

TRANSMISSION OF TENDERS: Tenders may be submitted electronically or on paper (see tender documents for details).

RECEIPT OF TENDERS: To be valid and considered, tenders must be addressed to the file manager and received no later than the date and time indicated in the tender notice.

The PUBLIC ORGANIZATION reserves the right not to consider a request for clarification made by a SUBMITTER if this request is sent to it less than THREE (3) working days before the closing date and time set for the receipt of Submissions.

INFORMATION VISIT

During the tender period, the PUBLIC ORGANIZATION will organize an information visit at Centre Gertrude-Lafrance, 150 boul. St-Luc St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, on DECEMBER 18, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. The meeting point will be near the main entrance at the front of the building.

During this visit, neither the representatives of the PUBLIC ORGANIZATION nor the Professional(s) will answer any questions from bidders whose information is not contained in the plans and specifications. Questions asked during the visit will be noted and answered by addendum. All bidders, contractors and subcontractors will be deemed to have visited the site and no claims for lack of site knowledge will be submitted or accepted.

The PUBLIC BODY does not undertake to accept any of the Bids received under the Invitation to Tender.

Trade contractors, whose work is subject to the rules of the BSDQ Tender Code, are required to attach a copy of their Tender to the Awarding Authority at the time it is submitted to the BSDQ's electronic tender transmission system (TES).
